VS.

Natty stayed with me for about a week and while he was here I tried to make sure he was entertained the whole time. His favorite sport is basketball so I decided to get Natty, Darrel and myself tickets to a Suns game. Since the Light Rail had just opened about a week earlier, I thought we should take the Light Rail to Phoenix so Natty could experience it (even though he's been on one several times in VA). 10 stops and really good seats later, we enjoyed an almost perfect game. They lost in the last second of the game to the Pacers but I think Natty had a good time anyway.

VS.
Darrel, Marty and I were able to go to the Insight Bowl thanks to Bryan. We had a great time and it was nice to be able to catch up with Marty. Darrel taught me a few KU traditions including "waiving the wheat" and what "Rock Chalk Jayhawk" means. But of course the best part was KU winning =) Although, Darrel's favorite may have been yelling:
RRRRRRROOOOOOOOOOOOOCCCCCCCCCKKKK
CCCCCCCHHHHHHHAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLKKKK
JJJJJAAAAAYYYYYHHHAAAAAAWWWWKKKKK
KKKKKKKKKKKKKKKKUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Holiday Party

In my sorority before we are initiated, we are adopted by our "Big Sister" into a family. My family is the Halo family and I couldn't be any happier. Last night was the Halo Family Christmas Party. We enjoyed a delicious dinner at Kristi's house that her mom made and presented in a very fancy way. We exchanged white elephant gifts and enjoyed each other's company outside crowded around the fire pit. There are actually around 35-40 girls in our family, but most were already back home for the holidays and couldn't make it.

IT'S RAVI TIME!

It's the most exciting time of the year- Ravioli making time! I've helped my dad make ravioli ever since I can remember. Through the years we've had lots of helpers and this year it was Darrel! He was a big help and had the process down in no time. There were lots of onlookers as well (including Lola) to enjoy the experience of this holiday tradition. We're all looking forward to Christmas day so we can enjoy this homemade ravioli.

"One of these things is not like the others"

I just couldn't resist taking a picture when Sky walked right in between my stocking holders and blended right in!

One of these things is not like the others,
One of these things just doesn't belong,
Can you tell which thing is not like the others
By the time I finish my song?
Did you guess which thing was not like the others?
Did you guess which thing just doesn't belong?
If you guessed this one is not like the others,
Then you're absolutely...right!

Roses <3

I love roses! And I was lucky enough to have Darrel give me a dozen roses for no reason a few weeks ago, and again before our date last Saturday.. so here are the pics and sorry some of them are blurry, I did the best I could with my camera.

Holiday Pictures!

Darrel's family took pictures for christmas cards and gifts last Friday and I got to come along and have pictures of Darrel, Macie, and myself taken. I kinda like those two! Riley and I even got in some of the family pics and there's a cute one of Darrel, Dana, Riley and me at the end.

A Day at the ZOO!

Last Sunday Darrel took me to the Zoo. It was a really nice day out and I had some fun taking pictures of the animals. All of the animals (and their butts) were out to play =). And no Mom, I did not take pictures of their butts on purpose... okay.. maybe just the baboon's colorful butt. What? It was pretty!! The first 2 pics are my favorite.. doesn't the wolf look so friendly! ;-)
